Thanks to an email from
Jessika, I've managed to make this the week of the
sarcosuchus imperator.
Friday afternoon, Jess alerted me to the latest exhibit to come visit the
Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History:
SuperCroc. Sarcosuchus was a forty foot long, 17,000 pound giant crocodile that lived 110 million years ago and was large enough to have eaten dinosaurs. This monster would easily have been large enough to swallow a man whole and barely notice he'd done so. With my love of dinosaurs and giant reptiles, this is definitely an exhibit designed specifically to bring me down to Norman. Even better, my daughter, who shares my love for such things, will be with me.
