Last night, I fired up the Xbox 360 to pursue some ranked multiplayer crime with Dustin. We managed to get into one deathmatch, in which, as usual, our team came in last. It was a lot of fun, but we truly are a pretty sucktastic team. Dustin is much better than I am, both from […]

Last night, Dustin and I decided to try out the online multiplayer aspects of Grand Theft Auto IV. At first, it didn’t look like itwas going to happen when we ran into an issue we’ve had before where neither of us could invite the other to join a game or enter a private chat. After […]

Earlier this week, my daughter and I popped into the store long enough to pick up LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures. We were huge fans of the LEGO Star Wars games from the time we first got the Xbox, so it was a foregone conclusion we’d pick this one up. As soon […]

Hello, my name is corwin, and I have an addiction.
With little in the way of tabletop role-playing games in my future, I decided to turn to the next best thing: game-console based RPGs. I had heard a lot of really good things about the Elder Scrolls games, particularly the latest, Oblivion. Not too […]

Of all the outfits from whom I’ve had to receive customer support, I never thought Microsoft would be the ones to give me an easy and pleasant experience. I’ve been having some trouble with my own Xbox 360 lately, including the dreaded Red Ring of Death and a horrific grinding noise from the optical […]

After resisting temptation as long as I could, I went out tonight and rented Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. I love playing Guitar Hero II; it’s the closest thing to being a rock star I’m likely to experience. When I read the song list for the new installment, I knew I […]

I first bought my Xbox 360 nearly a year ago. My daughter and I selected it as our Christmas present to ourselves. I pretty much wanted it for one game and one game only: Dead Rising. More than anything, I wanted to spend hours rushing about killing zombies in various graphic and […]

My cat, Milkbeard the Mighty, has recently shown me her taste in music. When I play Guitar Hero 2, she has taken to coming into the front room and watching from the top shelf of her cat tree. For most songs, she will just lie there and watch either me or the television screen, but when her favorite songs come on, most notably “Search and Destroy” by Iggy Pop and the Stooges, she goes into a berserk dance:

For the longest time, “Message in a Bottle” as made famous by The Police has been the bane of my existence. While working my way through Guitar Hero 2 on Medium difficulty, trying to get five stars on each song so I can get the achievement and unlock a new guitar, I wasn’t […]

This weekend, I finally had the pleasure of playing multiplayer Guitar Hero 2. I took my highly decorated axe down to Dustin and Jessika’s place to finally settle the argument of who is really the Least Rhythmic Man Alive. As it turns out, it is Dustin, by a landslide.
I will admit I’d already […]
