xkcd LogoLike any good geek, I've been a fan of the webcomic for a while.  While surfing around the web a little while back, I came across a particularly ambitious project.  The folks over at  put together an

And so DM of the Rings has ended. We knew it was coming; there was only so much source material left in the Lord of the Rings for Shamus to use. I thought the ending was absolutely perfect, and yet another gaming situation I've personally seen. I am sad to see it go, but all good things do indeed come to an end eventually. The comic had a damn good run, and, happily, drew me in to read the rest of Shamus's site. But all is not lost.

Go check out Hunky Dory, a new web comic by my friend Drew, and his friend Grant (who I've never met). I've enjoyed Drew's work both when he's posted it on his LJ, and in local print. He's been especially good drawing strips featuring people I know in person. He's funny in a way I thoroughly enjoy.

If you've ever been involved in role-playing games in any way ever, you simply must go read Twenty Sided. Among the many posts on the blog, Shamus is providing his readers with one of the funniest webcomics I have ever seen: The DM of the Rings. Picture this: you're a DM with a group of almost exclusively hack-and-slash players (we've all been there, most of us on both sides. Except the role-player over there).
