Heroes - "Dying of the Light"

I almost didn't bother with this post. As you can see, it's a week overdue, and it's going to be really short. Heroes, unfortunately, is continuing to disappoint me, and I've found myself with less and less interest in watching it. Last week, for the very first time, it actually bored me, and I worked on other things while it was on. I didn't feel the burning need I usually have to discuss the episode afterwards, and certainly didn't really feel like posting a recap. But, I opened this can of worms way back at the beginning of the show, so I feel like I ought to keep on with it, a week later or not. I'm afraid I'll be watching tonight's episode more out of a sense of obligation than any strong interest. But since Anaconda 3: The Offspring won't be here for a couple more days, I'll settle in. One spoiler to discuss, let's get it over with....

Heroes - "Angels and Monsters"

My disappointment with Heroes continues to grow, unfortunately. So much so that I really just didn't feel like writing anything up last night after watching it. Instead, I checked out Christian Slater's new show, My Own Worst Enemy, which actually held my attention better, at least in its first episode. Let's get right to it and get the spoilers over with.

Heroes - "I Am Become Death"

Better late than never, right? I was once again beyond exhausted last night and didn't get around to writing up. Part of it, I have to admit, is I'm not as excited about Heroes as I have been in the past. It's still better than most of what passes for television these days, to be sure, but it hasn't really been as good as I'd been hoping for. Anyway, on with the spoilers:

Heroes - "One of Us, One of Them"

I'm late in getting this one out. By the time last night's Heroes wrapped up, my allergy medicine had me so sleepy it was all I could do to make it to the bedroom before I fell asleep. But better late than never! "One of Us, One of Them" wasn't one of the more action-packed, edge of your seat episodes. It was a set-up episode, laying out the major plots we're going to see for the rest of this third season. It worked well as such, though they unfortunately did not take some of the openings they'd left themselves for some superpowered action sequences. As always, spoilers follow....

Heroes - "The Second Coming" and "The Butterfly Effect"

Finally, after all these months, the new season of Heroes, entitled "Villains," has begun. As expected, they got off with a bang, and picked up pretty much where the last season left off. I will admit, I watched the two-part premier with a bit of trepidation and probably more of a critical eye than I have been. I was worried they wouldn't be able to keep up the quality and pace they've shown in the past, especially with the introduction of some of the weaker storylines we got last season. But I was certainly happy with what I saw tonight. They've got the opportunity to explore some really big and interesting questions, if they follow through on some of the seeds they've planted. And so, here be spoilers...
